History

About-history-2

ShowCamp originated as a summer performing arts program of the Burbank Unified School District in 2000. Under the direction of Darrell and Jenny Bishop, and the administration of Bruce Osgood, ShowCamp quickly grew to become a year round extension program of the John Muir Vocal Music Association in 2001. About-history-1 Due to school renovations, the ShowCamp programs relocated to The First United Methodist Church during the summers of 2002 and 2003. As student enrollment continued to increase, ShowCamp moved to the Burbank High School campus in 2004. Now, a nonprofit corporation, ShowCamp has become a service provider to the schools offering year round performing arts education and production with musical performances at The Alex Theatre, The Colony Theatre, Burbank High School, and throughout the community.
